Our Nativity Scene
No, this is not our Nativity Scene. I love the Willow dolls so much and when I saw that there was a Nativity scene, I fell in love. The only problem with the Willow Nativity Scene is that it is quite expensive. Like, close to $300. I know I tend to spend money on things I probably shouldn't, but this is one thing that I couldn't justify spending that much on. Not to mention the fact that Zach would throw a fit if he saw it in our house.
So, yesterday while I'm shopping at Deseret Book, I'm checking out and the clerk says to me, "Since you spent over $30, you can get a nativity scene for only $3." I think to myself, "Since I can't get the Willow Nativity Scene, I might as well get this one."
So I get home last night and I'm wrapping some presents and remembered the Nativity scene that I got. I take it out of the box and set it out on our coffee table. I started chuckling a little bit, but remembered it was only $3 and it will definitely do for us.
Zach gets home and notices the Nativity scene. "Why's the donkey smaller than the Baby Jesus?" I have to admit, some of the proportions aren't exact and it does look a little silly, but I'm still proud of it.
Maybe we can upgrade at a later date!

"Four Christmases"
Zach and I saw "Four Christmases" last night and we LOVED it! I was laughing out loud throughout the whole movie, and I don't normally do that. Zach mainly went to see his crush, Reese, but I think he actually enjoyed the show, too. I definitely recommend this movie to anyone who wants to see a great holidy movie.

"Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...."
On Saturday, my parents, Arian, Kenneth, Zach and myself went up Spring Canyon to get our Christmas trees. We had such a great time and it was nice to get up in the mountains one last time before the snow falls. My dad and Zach had spotted some trees months ago and knew exactly where to go. We had such a fun time in our old truck and going for a four wheeler ride. I just love this time of year and love Christmas!
As soon as I saw this tree I knew it was "the one." It was perfect!
Mr. Tough Guy carrying the tree.
Zach loves to pose. He looks like a statue.
Zach with the "Green Machine." Sorry everybody, but it is not for sale. "Hey Zach, did you just wax that thing?"
And here is the finished product. I have to say that I have cursed this tree quite a bit. Zach surprised me and had it already up after I went shopping. I was so happy and so excited to decorate. We got the decorations out, put "Elf" on and were ready to go. Zach got in the shower to try and get rid of the smoke from earlier in the day while I started with the lights. Well, I remembered that I had bought a new box of lights last year that I thought for sure would be plenty. I started putting the lights on and realized by the time I was half way through that we didn't have enough. So, I took the lights off. Oh, did I mention that this is the prickliest (I'm pretty sure that's not a word, but you get the idea) tree EVER! I had on two shirts, Zach's flannel jacket and leather gloves and still managed to scrape my arms up. It looked like I had chicken pox when I was done. Anyway, I get the other twinkle lights that I'm not a fan of and started again. I'm getting to about the same spot again and getting pricked and having a hard time and notice the tree coming closer and closer to me and WHAM, it falls on me! I'm yelling and yelling and remember that Zach's not going to be able to hear me because he's in the shower. I take a deep breath and lift it up, reposition the tree and finish the lights. I'm pretty particular when it comes to decorating trees. The ribbon and decorations took me a lot longer than needed to be, but I finally get it so that I can be somewhat satisfied. After I told Zach how the tree attacked me and nearly took my life, and him nearly passing out from laughing hysterically, he leveled it about four more times and turned it a few more so that we wouldn't have to worry about it falling over again. We took a step back, admiring the tree and relieved that it was over. I started putting the boxes away and cleaning up and had my back toward the tree when I heard Zach say, "Look out!!" Before I had time to turn my head around and see what was happening, the tree was coming at me again! All I could do was turn back around and cover my head and hope that it wouldn't hurt too bad. The ribbon was all messed up, half the decorations were everywhere on the floor and all the water from the tree stand had come out making a very big mess. I was so upset by this point, even shedding a few tears of frustration and anger. Luckily I have a husband that could only laugh, harder now than before, at his stressed wife. So, that it why our Christmas tree looks like it does. I was done at that point and didn't want anything else to do with it. I think next year we will be buying a fake tree that already has the lights on it.

It's Already Been Brought!
This is for our poor BYU fans, Laci and Brent. I have to admit, my blood pressure was pretty high after reading your blog. I was laughing pretty hard though. I guess the difference between Utah fans and BYU fans is that Utah fans don't have to be cruel and malicious and talk down to others. The Utes prove themselves with their strength and skill on the field:) This will definitely be an exciting game this Saturday. Just the anticipation is about ready to kill me. I have looked forward to this game all season. I have no doubt that the UTES are going to win; hands down! Hope everyone enjoys the game!

Back in Black!
The Utes were able to beat TCU! It was a little cold by 4th quarter, but it was still a lot of fun. Utah had on their black uniforms and the crowd dressed in black. It was pretty cool looking at everyone in the stands with their black on. It was a pretty defensive game but at the last minute, literally, the Utes pulled it off for a VICTORY! 10-0, WAHOO!
Sorry for my blury pictures, my hands were a little cold. :)
Utah stopping the Horned Frogs.
Braving the cold for the UTES!
We are dorks!
The madness after the game! We about got ran over while everyone was making a mad dash to the field.

Happy Halloween!
I decided to go 80's for Halloween this year. And honestly, I think I had a little too much fun with it. I crimped my hair, put my legging's with lace on and had my purple pumps shinin'. Even though I looked a little scary with my blue eye shadow and hot pink cheeks, I still had a blast! I don't know why, but I just love Halloween and love dressing up. I always look forward to Halloween.
As you can see, we had a variety of costumes at work. I work with a lot of fun people. It was a lot of fun to see what everyone came up with.

It's Pumpkin Carving Time!
We are having a pumpkin carving contest at work. Winner gets $50 bucks! I know there is no way I will win, but it was still fun (kind of) carving my pumpkin. I had no idea that it was going to take me three, long hours! Zach helped me out a lot, too...he cut the top of it off for me. If anybody makes their way over to Zions Bank in the next three days, make sure to vote for pumpkin #2! Just Kidding! It will be funny to see what it looks like by Friday. It's starting to shrivel up quite a bit.
Before....
....And After. BOO!!!

GO UTES!!!
On Saturday, my mom, dad and myself went to the U of U game against Colorado State. It was so much fun! We always have such a great time at the games.
The weather was perfect and the Utes had an awesome game. There's just nothing like football in the Fall.
And as you can see, I have once again gotten bored with my hair and needed a change!

Summer Recap
I turned 25 this year. I don't know why but I
have the hardest time getting older. I know age
doesn't mean anything, but for some reason it
seems to get harder each year. Hopefully I can
overcome this "obstacle."
My brother, Jesse, and his new wife, Mary.
We are so excited to have her a part of our family.
Spending time in the mountains, one of our
favorite things to do.
Enjoying the 4th of July.
Zach and I trying to concentrate and listen
during the ceremony.
Just after the "I do's."
Our cute nieces and nephews!
I was seconds away from getting cake smeared
all over my face.
While Zach and I were inside at the reception,
this is what was going on out outside.
Overall, it was a wonderful and beautiful day.
I couldn't have asked for anything better!
