Happy Anniversary!

Zach and I celebrated our first anniversary this past weekend. I still can't believe it's already been a year since we got married. Time definitely flies by when you're having fun! We headed up to Logan Friday night to stay at the Anniversary Inn. We stayed at the Jesse James room. It was a lot of fun! Root beer, cheesecake, enormous log bed, pool table, big screen t.v., etc. It was great! After Zach wiped his many, many tears after getting beat at pool so many times by yours truly, we went to dinner at the Copper Mill. It was delicious! We had such a great time!

While we were driving back home Saturday afternoon, we decided to stay at The Johnson Mill, the Bed & Breakfast we got married at, Saturday night. It was so fun to go back and remember the great day we shared together last year. We were even able to take the canoe out on the lake and enjoy the beautiful, peaceful evening....well, until Zach splashed me with smelly, mossy water. Yuck! We ate at the Claim Jumper and relaxed the rest of the night.

Bowling

Last Saturday, the two Zions branches in Park City got together and went bowling. It was a lot fun! I really am lucky to be able to work with such great people. I can honestly say that everyone I work with are my friends. It makes it so much easier to go to work every day. Even though my scores were not the best, I still had a blast!

My First 5K!

I finally did it! I ran my first 5K! My mom and I participated in the annual UVU 5K last Saturday at the UVU Heber Extension. It was so exciting to have accomplished this huge goal for myself. My mom and I worked really hard and focused a lot of our time on getting ourselves ready.
This was right after the run. I am a sweaty mess. No, we did not coordinate our clothes with each other. Although, NIKE might be calling us to do an ad for them.

What I've Learned....

Here are a few things that I've learned the past week:

*Going tanning longer than should will cause excruciating pain along with what looks like 3rd degree burns and screaming in the shower!
*Making fun of Zach will also cause pain. After saying what I shouldn't have to him, he drove over two huge bumps in his old truck causing me to catch some air and hit my head on the roof of the truck and come down hard on my burnt body. Ouch!
*I need to get my hair colored more often now. I had to yank a bright white hair out of my head. GRRR!!
*Procrastination will get you NO WHERE!
*I apparently talk in my sleep when I'm really tired. I guess it's not always nice, too...hee hee
*Making a left hand turn while crossing three lanes of traffic and having to stop in the middle of the road because the car in front won't go and when cars are only 10 yards away and ready to hit, will make me have a panic attack!
*Chocolate milk now makes me very sick :(
*I need to look at my clothes more thoroughly before walking out the door to go to work. My shirt was on backwards all day long! I finally realized it late this afternoon! I hurried and ran in the bathroom and switched my shirt. Had many laughs from it and went back to work. Almost ready to go home and realized my name tag was on my back! Good times!

Birds

I'm not quite sure why, but I'm very scared of birds. It hasn't been my whole life, just the last few years. I know, very strange. But, I have found one bird that I'm not afraid of. Zach and I were driving around last week and saw some bald eagles. They are so beautiful! There have been so many around lately and I've wanted to get pictures of them for a while. I made Zach walk through the fields to get some pictures. Sorry they're still far away and kind of hard to see what they are. I don't know what it is, but there is something so beautiful about this bird. And maybe it will help me get over my phobia with other birds! ;)

My New Baby!

I've always looked forward to the day that I could have my baby. There's been an empty space in my heart for some time and I finally am able to fill the void. Zach and I are happy to announce that we have welcomed home a new car! Hee hee! After spending all day Saturday searching the whole Salt Lake valley with our tour guide aka the Larry H Miller sales rep, Richard, we were able to find the car that I've wanted for so long! The Passat has been great, but it's had some problems for a quite a while and we figured it was time to get a new car. I got an Acura TSX and I LOVE it! It's been so much fun!
